TAK Ms Yasufuku Y002 (FB20752) is special because she is directly sired by the famous sire Yasufuku Jr., who is in turn sired by perhaps the most famous Wagyu bull in all of Japan, and while Yasufuku Jr. is a carrier of the a carrier of the CL16 recessive disorder, this cow did not inherit that gene and is free of all of the known genetic recessive disorders making her even more special.  And making her even more special, she is out of a cow that is directly sired by Itozuru Doi TF151, who’s semen is the highest priced of all Wagyu sires, and who is known to transmit to offspring outstanding carcass qualities as well as good growth and maternal characteristics.  Further down the pedigree is maternal grand dam Sanjirou, one of the top carcass sires in the breed, then maternal great grand dam Kitaguni Jr., one of the highest marbling foundation bulls in the breed, followed by Kikuhana, a foundation bull known for great size and maternal characteristics, followed by Kikuyasu-400, the largest Tajima-line foundation sire, and originally out of the Yuriko-1 foundation cow.   Her pedigree indicates that she should contribute to outstanding carcass qualities in her offspring.  And she has great fertility and maternal instinct, and she raises outstanding calves.

The following list of famous Wagyu animals makes up 100% of her total genetics:

  • 50.0% Yasufuku Jr. (direct sire), a foundation sire…
  • 25% Itozuru Doi TF151 (maternal grand sire), a foundation sire known for outstanding growth, size and phenotype, while still having very good carcass qualities, including outstanding marbling and marbling fineness.
  • 12.5% Sanjirou (maternal great grand sire), one of the most well known and highly respected 2nd-generation sires in the breed, himself sired by Michifuku, who many believe is the best overall carcass sire to have left Japan and out of the most famous of all foundation Wagyu dams, Suzutani.
  • 6.25% Kitaguni Jr., (maternal 3rd grand sire), a foundation sire well known for outstanding marbling, and a balanced Wagyu sire.
  • 3.13% Kikuhana, a foundation sire known for outstanding size and maternal characteristics.
  • 1.56% Kikuyasu-400, (maternal 4th grand sire), a foundation sire well known for being the largest Tajima-line foundation sire to have left Japan.
  • 1.56% Yuriko-1, a highly respected foundation female what was grand-sired by the famous Dai 20 Hirashige 287, who is double-bred Kedaka 7212.

She is a top carcass-quality female with a smaller-to-medium-sized frame (approximately 1,000 lbs.).  Her pedigree indicates that she should contribute excellent carcass qualities to her offspring.  She is very docile and “easy keeping”, and she has proven to raise excellent calves.

She is tested free of the known genetic recessive disorders.  DNA tests:  SCD=AA; Tenderness=4.
