TAK Ms Itozuru Doi 069 (FB20829) is one of our embryo donor cows.  She is special because she is directly sired by the famous sire Itozuru Doi TF151, who’s semen is the highest priced of all Wagyu sires, and who is known to transmit to offspring outstanding carcass qualities as well as good growth and maternal characteristics.  Itozuru Doi is a carrier of the F11 recessive disorder, so half of his offspring will inherit the F11 recessive disorder gene, but the 069 cow is free of all recessive disorder genes, making her even more special.   She is out of a cow sired by CHR Kitaguni 07K (Kitaguni Jr./Michifuku/Kikuhana/Hikohime 3/2) and in turn out of a cow sired by Fukutsuru-068/Kikuyasu-400/JVP Chisahime 662.  So the 069 cow is directly sired by one of the most famous, rare and sought-after sires in the Wagyu breed, and the other 50% of her DNA (maternal side) has some of the top carcass foundation sires in the breed.  So per pedigree indicates that she should contribute to outstanding carcass qualities in her offspring.  And she has great fertility and maternal instinct, and she raises outstanding calves and flushes well.

The following list of famous sires makes up 87.5% of her total genetics:

  • 50.0% Itozuru Doi TF151 (direct sire), a sire known for outstanding growth, size and phenotype, while still having very good carcass qualities, including outstanding marbling and marbling fineness.
  • 12.5% Kitaguni Jr (bottom), a sire well known for outstanding marbling, and a balanced Wagyu sire being 37% Tajima, 25% Itozakura, and 12.5% each Kedaka, Shimane and Okayama.
  • 12.5% Fukutsuru-068, (bottom) a 100% Tajima-line sire that for many years was the #1 marbling sire in the Washington State Sire Summary and is still consistently ranked in the top few sires in that sire survey based upon progeny tests.
  • 6.25% Michifuku (bottom), a 100% Tajima-line sire that is generally regarded as the best overall carcass sire to have been exported from Japan.
  • 6.25% Kikuyasu-400 (bottom), the physically largest 100% Tajima-line Wagyu bull exported from Japan.

She is a well balanced female with a medium-sized frame (approximately 1,100 lbs) with outstanding phenotype and conformation.  Her pedigree indicates that she should contribute excellent carcass qualities to her offspring. She is very docile and “easy keeping”, and she has proven to raise excellent calves.  She has outstanding fertility and above-average embryo production per flush.

She is tested free of the known genetic recessive disorders.  DNA tests:  SCD=AA; Tenderness=5.
